VMware NSX at EMC World 2016

So far, EMC World 2016 in Las Vegas has been great. Lots of great sessions on storage, hyper-converged, cloud, security, design, virtualization, and overall solutions for DR, Big Data, Multi-site, etc.

If you’re at EMC World and interested in Multi-site and Disaster Recovery solutions with network virtualization, I’m doing a repeat of the session Solving Multi-Site Challenges With VMware NSX; Wednesday: 3:00 – 4:00 PM. My colleagues are also repeating a session on Automating DR For Networking & Security With NSX & SRM; Wednesday: 12:00 – 1:00 PM. We’d love to talk NSX with you.

Check-out the entire session catalog here. There are also several other sessions incorporating NSX.

Two other sessions I had the opportunity to attend that I found interesting were:

1.) VCE VxRail: Extend & Simplify VMware Environments with Hyper-Converged Appliances; repeat session tomorrow, Wednesday: 8:30 – 9:30 AM

Cool to see NSX and vSAN on VxRail for hyper-converged.

NSX and vSAN on VxRail for Hyper-converged

2.) VxRack Systems Technical Deep Dive: Building Hyper-Converged Solutions At Rackscale; repeat session Thursday: 11:30 – 12:30 AM

VXRACK System 1000 with SDDC nodes incorporates NSX!

Also, you may want to check-out, Cloud Security Controls At The Speed Of Business, which discusses leveraging NSX for security; and EMC IT: Realizing The Potential Of Software-Defined, which discusses how EMC IT used software solutions like NSX to transform its legacy IT infrastructure model.

Lots of great sessions and discussion; if you’re here and want to chat make sure to stop by or ping me on twitter @Humair_Ahmed.
